Bolero jeep that fell in Trishuli River confirmed to have Indian number plates

KATHMANDU, Jan 16:  It has been confirmed that the vehicle that fell into the Trishuli River on Monday afternoon is a Bolero Jeep with Indian number plates. 

According to District Police Office Chitwan, a vehicle was seen under bridge number 3 of Narayanghat-Mugling road section. The vehicle bears the registration number of BR 09 GC 1430. 

According to police, the vehicle was found to be an Indian vehicle.

Chitwan Police mentioned that since  the team of divers did not find anyone in the vehicle during the search operation at one stage they are going for another round of search again.

At 4:40 this morning, it was seen that the light of a vehicle was shining in the water of Trishuli River, near bridge number 3 of Mugling-Narayanghat road section, Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-5, about 80 to 85 meters below the road. 

As soon as the information was received, a team including senior police officials from Area Police Office Muglin and Zipra Chitwan reached the spot.

A disaster management team with a boat and a team of divers from the APF’s Disaster Management Training Institute, Kurintar are currently at the incident site..
