BANKE, Jan 3: A leopard was killed after being hit by a speeding microbus inside the Banke National Park at Raptisonari rural municipality-1 in Banke on Tuesday evening, the police said. NUWAKOT, Nov 17: Amid continuing attacks on election candidates in districts, one of the vehicles used by the election campaign of senior Nepali Congress leader and former finance minister Nepali Congress leader Ram Sharan Mahat was ambushed in Nuwakot district on Friday. While Mahat escaped unhurt, five of his supporters who were in the ambushed vehicle were injured. The vehicle was destroyed in the attack. Mahat was visiting various villages as part of his election campaign.
ROLPA, Nov 16: A bomb was hurled at Amar Singh Pun’s vehicle which was en route to Jailipokhari from Liwang of Rolpa. Pun is State Minister of Irrigation and Nepali Congress’s candidate for the upcoming elections. Speaking to Republica Online, Pun condemned the attack and urged for immediate stop. It has been rumored that the bomb was hurled by CPN-Maoists (revolutionary) to increase fear.
ROLPA, Nov 11: Barshaman Pun’s vehicle was ambushed at around 10:20 AM at Bhittabang Mardi rural municipality today. The vehicle, travelling to Dhartigau from Sukhaodar in the election campaign suffered minor damage.
