Blood transfusion center to set up at TU premises

KATHMANDU, May 16: A blood bank is to be set up at the Tribhuvan University (TU) premises in Kirtipur under the joint initiation of the Lions Club International and the TU.

The facility would be built on three ropanis land. The foundation stone of the modern blood transfusion centre has been laid after the two institutions signed an agreement to this effect recently.


This was announced during the Multiple Convention of the Lions Club International Multiple District 325 here today. TU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Hira Bahadur Maharjan was feted on the occasion.

A Lions Village is to be built at the earthquake affected area with the support of the Chinese Lions Club. A memorandum of understanding regarding providing Rs 16 million for this purpose was inked today. RSS
