BIRATNAGAR, June 19: Province Assembly of Province 1 on Tuesday passed unanimously the bills related to the broadcasting of radio, FM and television.
Dissemination of news that undermines country's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and nationality, relations among federal units and harmony among various communities, races and religions has been banned following the bills' endorsement.

Circulation of news that promotes treason and contempt of court will attract a fine between Rs 10,000 to Rs 100,000.
Also, Minister for Internal Affairs Hikmat Karki tabled a bill related to function, responsibility and rights of the district assembly.
