KATHMANDU, Jan 29: The 88 Bikes Foundation, a newly formed international organization with the goal of providing "sustainable means of transportation" to young people in the developing countries, has donated 130 bikes to children living in shelter homes run by Saathi, a non government organization working for victims of domestic violence.

Dan Austin, one of three founders of the 88 bikes, handed over bikes to Saathi´s children on Friday amidst a function held at its Bhainsepati girl shelter. Currently, 152 children live in Saathi´s four different shelters. Bikes are expected to be a boon for them to improve their living status.

The 88 bikes is all set to travel to Ghana, India and Vietnam to distribute bikes to children victim of human trafficking and slavery.
