CHITWAN, Sept 5: Here is good news for tourism entrepreneurs in Chitwan and Pokhara as both touristic towns in separate districts are connecting via direct air route soon.
Buddha Air, the private airlines company, is to start flights from Bharatpur Airport to Pokhara and vice-versa from upcoming September 15. The company decided to operate the Bharatpur-Pokhara air services at the request of tourism entrepreneurs and locals irritated by the problem of prolonged traffic jam along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section.
According to Buddha Air's manager Bhakta Bahadur Basnet, an 18-seater Beechcraft will take off from Bharatpur at 10:00 am and at 10:30 am from Pokhara. One-way transport fare is fixed at Rs 3,600 per person.
The operation of the flight is expected to help boost up tourism in both towns. RSS
