Bhaktapur, Pokhara into quarterfinals

KATHMANDU, July 9: Bhaktapur and Pokhara advanced to the quarterfinals of the First Inter Metro Men´s Volleyball Tournament being held at the National Sports Council covered hall, Tripureshwar, on Thursday.



Bhaktapur defeated Kamalamai Municipality 25-21, 19-25, 25-6 and 25-15 in a Group C match. Panauti had already booked their place in the final eight from Group C.



In Group D, Pokhara defeated Damak 25-19, 25-21, 15-21 and 25-21 and entered into the quarterfinals as the group winners. Despite the loss, Damak too have secured quarterfinal berth as Group C runners-up.
