Belbase appointed editor of Radio Nagarik 96.5 MHZ

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Thakur Belbase has been appointed as station manager as well as news chief of the soon-to-be launched Radio Nagarik 96.5 MHZ.

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Thakur Belbase has been appointed as station manager as well as news chief of the soon-to-be launched Radio Nagarik 96.5 MHZ.



Working in the field of radio journalism for the past 12 years, Belbase possesses over two-decade long experience in Nepali journalism. He was working as program presenter and program coordinator at Image News FM before joining Radio Nagarik.



Belbase also hosted a weekly television show called Satyapath on Image Television and served as editor of a news portal --www.imagekhabar.com.  



Born in Dhakawang in Arghakhanchi district, the 40-year old Belbase holds Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism and Master's Degree in Nepali literature.



As a person with avid interest in literature, Belbase has bagged over a dozen of prestigious literary awards including Sajha Puraskar. Three of his Nepali poem anthologies - Trashma Ishwar, Achanak Yo Sanjh and Sagarko Waripari Manharuko Samaroha-have been published so far.
