SARLAHI, Jan 7: The protestors are continuing their demonstration in Barahathwa, Sarlahi. Although the local administration has issued a curfew order, the demonstration is being carried out in defiance of the order.

Protesters broke the curfew and hurled petrol bombs at the local police office. As a result, a fire broke out in the waiting room inside the police office.

At this time Barahathwa has become tense due to the clashes between the protestors and the police. After the protesters began throwing stones and throwing petrol at the police office, the police also fired dozens of tear gas shells and bullet shots in the air.

After a large number of protestors started filling petrol bottles and throwing them on fire towards the police office, police began firing indiscriminately to control the situation.

On Friday, Jaishankar Sah, 28, who had gone to pay the electricity bill, was killed when the police opened fire during a protest over the hospital in Sarlahi's Barahathwa Municipality-6. A demonstration was held on the same issue. His body has not been removed from the incident site till the third day of the protest.
