Bar urge to stop judge recruitment

KATHMANDU, Dec 3: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has urged the sides concerned to not expedite ahead the process regarding the recruitment of district judges.



Issuing a press release, the NBA has drawn the attention of the sides concerned to not move head the recruitment process affecting the arrangement made by the Interim Constitution of Nepal-2063 BS at a time when the bill on appointing district judges is in course of presentation in the Legislature-Parliament.[break]



The NBA´s attention has been drawn over the news made public about the report of Supreme Court (SC) justice Balaram KC, stated the release, adding the Bar has not received the report.



The NBA is ever committed in favour of cleansing judiciary and corruption free judiciary; any steps taken ahead to this effect will be acceptable to the Bar, reads the press release.



The NBA also demanded to make public the report at the earliest.
