Baniya gets support

KATHMANDU, June 10: Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center (JVTC) and a few persons from Biratnagar provided a cash support of Rs 57,500 for the treatment of Nepal´s international volleyball player Dinesh Baniya who is suffering from kidney failure.



JVTC handed a cheque of Rs 30,000 to Baniya, informed Deepak Shrestha, general secretary of Nepal National and International Players´ Association.



Likewise, Biratnagar residents Bhakta Thapa, Bharat Bahadur Thapa, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Sovit Prasain, Golchha House, Indrajeet Rai, Niranjan Prasain, Raju Sharma, Krishna Sitaula, Nemraj Timilsina and Sanjay Bhattarai collectively provided Rs 27,500 for Baniya´s treatment.



Earlier, the association had urged all interested people to deposit cash for Baniya´s treatment in Everest Bank´s Account No 0100501202066.
