KATHMANDU, Dec 27: Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has congratulated her Nepali counterpart Pushpa Kamal Dahal on his appointment as the prime minister.


"I am delighted to extend my warmest congratulations to you on your election as the Prime Minister of Nepal, which reflects the trust and confidence reposed in your able and visionary leadership by the people of Nepal," wrote Bangladeshi PM in a congratulatory message to the new Nepali premier. "I look forward to working closely with you to strengthen our multifaceted relationship for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries."

ABM Sarwer-E-Alom Sarker, assistant press secretary of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina told BSS that the Bangladeshi Prime Minister also expressed her confidence that during Dahal’s term in office, there will be an excellent bilateral relations which will further widen and deepen in all the areas of common interest and potential sectors of collaboration, particularly connectivity, trade, tourism, power, and people-to-people contacts.


The premier also invited her Nepali counterpart to visit Bangladesh at his earliest convenient time. She expressed her best wishes for his good health, long life, and happiness, and for the friendly people of Nepal- the continued peace, progress, and prosperity. Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina also wished Dahal for the upcoming New Year 2023.
