Bagmati province to expand CM people health examination program

HETAUDA, Feb 26: The Bagmati province government is set to expand the Chief Minister People Health Examination Program across the province.

The program was launched nine months ago with the aim of ensuring easy excess to health service to all people of the province.

Initially started from five hospitals in five districts of the province, the program will be expanded to 15 hospitals of 13 districts from coming mid-March, said Minister for Social Development of the province, Yubaraj Dulal, adding that some hospitals however started it, and others would do so in some weeks.

 Under this drive, 25,000 poor people of the province are expected to receive health service for free in next one year, and 75,000 people of the province get health check-ups for a minimum charge, he said.

Under this program, the target group including senior citizens, Dalits, women, marginalised community and poor people will get free health checkups from 15 hospitals including Hetauda hospital where the program takes place, and other citizens for a minimum charge.
