Bagmati Province’s Social Development Minister Khanal resigns from his post

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Bagmati Province’s Minister for Social Development Krishna Prasad Khanal has resigned from the post.

Khanal, who became a minister on the same day CPN-UML leader Asta Laxmi Shakya was appointed as the chief minister of Bagmati Province, resigned from the post on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Khanal formally chose to be part of the Nepal-led CPN (Unified Socialist) party at the Bagmati Provincial Election Commission office in Hetauda.

Even before becoming the minister, he was inclined towards the Madhav Nepal group.
