Bagmati Province Govt provides exemption on registration and renewal fees of broadcast media

KATHMANDU, Jan 14: The Bagmati provincial government has announced a fee waiver for the radios and televisions operating in the province.


Similarly, the provincial government has said that it will also give exemption to the radio and television stations which are in the process of registration. The provincial government has given the exemption for registration and renewal in the fiscal year 2021/22.

The provincial government has reduced the amount of royalty which was previously two percent of the income of radio and television registered in the province to one percent.


The government has taken this decision with the objective of providing relief to the media which is facing financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
