KATHMANDU, Oct 8: A meeting of Bagmati Province Assembly is taking place today. Bagmati Province Assembly Speaker Bhuwan Kumar Pathak said that two bills will be submitted for discussion in the meeting called for 3 PM.
Earlier, the meeting held on Wednesday, October 4, was adjourned until further notice.
One of these two bills, the Bagmati Province Assembly Lottery Bill, has created some controversy. Opposition members have been opposing the bill presented by the government in the meeting.
The main opposition party CPN-UML has been protesting after the government tried to table the Lottery Bill directly in the meeting without giving prior information to the members.
