Baglung  experiences multiple tremors of earthquake

KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Tremors of earthquake were felt in different places in Baglung district. 

According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, tremors of earthquakes that had epicenters in different parts of Baglung were felt thrice last night. 

According to the  NEMRC, an earthquake measuring 4.7 Richter scale took place around Adhikari Chaur of Baglung at around 1:23 am. Similarly, tremors of another earthquake measuring 5.3 Richter scale centered around Khunga was felt at 2:07 AM.  The earthquake measuring 4 Richter scale was felt around Adhikari Chaur again at 3:28 am.

According to the  National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, the earthquake was not an aftershock of the Gorkha earthquake but a new one. The Himalayan region of Nepal is a risk zone for earthquakes, according to the center.
