KATHMANDU, April 4: Visiting All India Women's T20 Cricket Association (AWTC) made a winning start to the First Indo-Nepal Women's Cricket Tournament that kicked off on Monday at the Pulchowk Engineering College ground.
APF beats RCW in Indo-Nepal cricket
AWTC overcame host Rising Cricket for Women (RCW) by 125 runs. Winning the toss, RCW invited AWTC to bat first in the match played for 30-over per side.
Renu Yadav and Pooja Nimavat completed half centuries each for the visiting team which made 202/6. Renu scored 57 runs off 43 balls which included eight fences. Similarly, Pooja contributed 54 runs off 53 balls that included nine fours.Nery Thapa, Ashmina Karmacharya and Anjali Chand of the home team pocketed two wickets each.
Juhi Pandy grabbed four wickets for the visiting AWTC as it bowled out RCW for 77 runs in the latter's run chase. Nery Thapa scored 36 runs off 30 deliveries and Mamta Chaudhary was the second highest scorer for RCW with 16 runs under her belt.
