APF beats RCW in Indo-Nepal cricket

KATHMANDU, April 6: Rubina Chhetri's all-round show helped APF beat host Rising Cricket for Women (RCW) by 74 runs in the First Indo-Nepal Women's Cricket Tournament at Pulchowk Engineering College ground, Lalitpur on Wednesday.

Batting first, APF posted 187 runs in 39.1 overs with Rubina scoring highest 60 runs off 70 balls that included 10 fours.Similarly, Karuna Bhandari scored 24 runs and Sita Rana Magar contributed 23 runs.

RCW's Nery Thapa claimed five wickets.

In reply, RCW was bowled out for 113 runs in 31 overs despite Mamta Chaudhary scoring 51 runs off 62 balls, hitting seven boundaries. Nery scored 18 runs.

APF's Rubina claimed five and Sita took two wickets to restrict RCW.
