At least 10 people killed in Dolakha bus mishap

DOLAKHA, Oct 11: At least ten people including five women and a child have been killed and 24 others injured in a bus accident at Lankuri Danda-9, Jhingali of Dolakha district on Friday.

The ill-fated bus, Ba 2 Kha 9200, skidded off the road and fell some 150 meters down at Jhingali, near Mudhe along the Araniko Highway, an eyewitness, Republica Daily Photojournalist Keshav Thoker informed.[break]

Thoker added that more people have been feared killed in the accident as rescue works are still underway.

The injured have been rushed to Charikot-based hospital.

According to Dolakha District Police Office, the bus was heading to Bhimeshwor Temple from Banepa, while the mishap took place.
