DOLAKHA, Nov 27: When the 16 Days of Activism against the Gender-based Violence Campaign is in the third day of its commencement, a woman was murdered in Dolakha. The deceased has been identified as Rammaya Tamang, 37, Jiri municipality-9 in Dolakha.
None else but it was her husband who killed her by hitting her with a wooden pole that is used to lock the door. Rammaya along with her husband Tasbir Tamang, 35, was at her maternal home at Kholakharka Ghunde of Thulopatal to attend the wedding ceremony of her younger brother.

The accused hit her with the pole on the head and face, killing her on the spot, according to Police Inspector Madhav Prasad Kafle. He has been absconding since the incident and police are searching for him. The body has been kept in the Jiri Hospital.
