Yadav had won gold medal in 3000-meter race at Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2019 held in Hong Kong earlier this month.

Nabil Bank CEO Anil Keshari Shah said he felt proud that the bank was able to support the budding athlete who made Nepal proud at an international competition.

"Ajit has made every Nepali citizen proud by winning gold in the Asian-level competition. We need to motivate such players who do well for the country despite lack of proper infrastructure and resources."

The association rewarded Yadav with a motorbike and his coach Dhaniram Chaudhary with cash prize of Rs 100,000 for their respective contributions in Nepali sports. Likewise, the Province 2 government has announced a cash prize of Rs 500,000 for Yadav.

President of the association Rajiv Bikram Shah stated that the win has motivated everyone involved, adding that the association expected similar performance from Nepali athletes in future.
