KATHMANDU, March19: Nepal’s premier blues band Ashesh and Nekhvam will be performing live at Aarohan Gurukul in Old Baneswar on Monday, March 21.

This will be the band’s first mega concert in Nepal after their tours to Norway and Germany in 2010.

“We’re very excited to be performing for our Nepali fans,” shared Ashesh Dongol, vocalist and lead guitarist of the band.[break]

He added that the special attraction of the concert will be the jamming sessions between two other artistes, Kjetil and Vidar, from the Seljourd Folk School of Norway and the band. Kjetil will be playing the saxophone, and Vidar will be playing the violin.

The band will be performing around eight of their old and new compositions at the two-hour event.

Formed in 1994, the band’s lineup has changed through the years but their music continues to woo fans.

The event will begin sharply at 6 PM and tickets are priced at Rs 200 each.
