Aryal elected as Press Chautari chairman

KATHMANDU, March 10: Rajendra Aryal has been elected as chairman of Press Chautari, a CPN-UML affiliated media organization on Sunday. Aryal secured 344 votes against 132 votes secured by his nearest rival Bishnu Rijal.



Durga Prasad Sharma has been elected as senior vice-chairman with 193 votes against 135 votes secured by Prakash Khatiwada.[break]



Similarly, Shanti Gurung has been elected vice-chairman with 167 votes. Kulbabu Basnet, Upendra KC, Mukesh Pokhrel, Surendra Kafle and Rajendra Bistha have been elected as vice chairmen for eastern, central, western, mid western and far western regions respectively.



Similarly, Madhav Nepal has been elected general secretary with 262 votes against 211 votes secured by his rival Lucky Chaudhari. Ganesh Pandey, Tika Bistha, Rajesh Rai, Narendra Saud and Ramkumar Elan have been elected as secretaries while Bishwamani Subedi has been elected treasurer.



 Ramesh Pokhrel (Mechi), Lila Raj Bhattarai (Koshi), Saindra Rai (Sagarmatha), Ishwari Kafle (Janakpur), Keshab Adhikari (Bagmati), Bipin Gautam (Narayani), Hari Batola (Gandaki), Bharat KC (Lumbini), Ganesh Poudel Chanda (Dhaulagiri), Rabin Priyasan (Rapti), Bir Bahadur Giri (Bheri), Binod Thapa (Seti), Navaraj Bhandari (Mahakali), and Jewan sejuwal (Karnal) have been elected as zonal in-charge.
