KATHMANDU, Aug 7: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) of Nepal Police has issued an arrest warrant against four former ministers including Nepali Congress (NC) leader Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar in connection with the Lalita Niwas land grab scam.
It is said that arrest warrants were issued on Sunday evening against former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, State Minister Sanjay Kumar Shah, former Land Reforms Minister Chandra Dev Joshi and Dambar Shrestha.
Arrest warrant issued against Judge Giri
Gachchhadar, Joshi and Shrestha were also defendants in the corruption case conducted by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA). Earlier, CIB had issued arrest warrants against 406 people including four former secretaries in this case.
