According to a press statement issued by Nepal Army´s Public Relations Directorate, General Gurung will meet senior officials of United Nations, Jr. Chief of Staff of the US Army General George W. Casey, Jr Director Strategic Plans and Policy Lt. Gen Charles H Jacoby and Mr Robert Scher, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Southeast Asia, among others, during his stay in the US.
Army chief Gurung will also attend “Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony” at the Command & Staff College, Fort Leaverworth, Kansas.
