A team of six members went to China on the official invitation of Chinese Army Chief, General Chen Bingde. During the visit CoAS Gurung signed a protocol with General Bingde seeking military assistance of Rs 600.27 million for Birendra Sainik Hospital, Chhauni, according to the Directorate of Public Relations of Nepal Army.
Gurung also met the vice-chairman of Central Military Commission, General Xu Caihou and visited National Defense Academy, General Hospital and Kunming Military Academy in China.
