APF hosts program to mark its 19th founding anniversary in Kathmandu (with video)

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Armed Police Force (APF) organized a program in Kathmandu on Thursday to mark its 19th founding anniversary.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Armed Police Force (APF) organized a program in Kathmandu on Thursday to mark its 19th founding anniversary.


Addressing the program, Inspector General of APF Shailendra Khanal asserted that the AFP has adopted zero tolerance approach to policy corruption and various irregularities.

"We have a practice of reward and punishment based on the performance of our staffers. I urge one and all to work sincerely," he said while addressing the AFP officials during the event.


On the occasion, IGP Khanal shared that 1296 APF personnel faced action for their wrongdoings and 521 were awarded for their good works.


"As a chief of this organization, I am ready to bear any risk when somebody in our organization faces trouble while doing good jobs," he said.


The APF awarded the best performing officers during the event.
