Approve Medical Education Act: Veterans

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Veterans of medical and education sector have urged the government and lawmakers to approve the Medical Education Act first instead of issuing affiliation to new medical colleges.

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Veterans of medical and education sector have urged the government and lawmakers to approve the Medical Education Act first instead of issuing affiliation to new medical colleges.

According to a joint statement issued on Sunday by Dr Arjun Karki, Dr Bhagwan Koirala, Dr Madan Upadhyaya, Dr Ramesh Adhikari and Prof Dr Kedar Bhakta Mathema, former vice-chancellor of Tribhuvan University, the government is said to have issued affiliation to a private medical college against the frequent commitment of the government not to do so.
