KATHMANDU, March 29: The APF Club of the Armed Police Force has entered the final of Lalitpur Mayor Cup Women's T-20 National Cricket Championship, remaining undefeated in the league-phase matches.
APF Club sailed into the final by winning today's league-phase final match held at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur after defeating Lalitpur Mayors by 37 runs. Rajmati Airi of the APF Club was announced the 'Player of the Match'.
Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, APF Club collected 110 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target of 111 runs posted by APF Club, Lalitpur Mayors was limited to 73 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs.
APF clinches PM Cup Cricket Championship title
Rajmati Airi remained not out at 41 runs while captain Sita Rana and Binu Budha made 19 and 12 runs respectively for the APF Club.
Similarly, Simana KC and Sristi Jaisi of Lalitpur Mayors took two wickets each while Soni Pakhrin and Manisha Upadhyay took one wicket each. Likewise, Soni Pakhrin made 15 runs for Lalitpur Mayors while Laxmi Chaudhary and Simana KC 10 runs each.
APF Club's Rajmati Airi and Binu Budha took two wickets each while Indu Barma, Sita Rana Magar and Sushma Shrestha one wicket each.
The APF Club is at the top of the points table after winning four matches of the league phase.
