AOAN steps up preparedness against COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Mar 4: The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has requested passengers suffering from fever and common cold, among other symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), to stop flying.

KATHMANDU, Mar 4: The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has requested passengers suffering from fever and common cold, among other symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), to stop flying.


"If suspected coronavirus patients are found to be traveling through flights, airline companies should cancel their flights,” the association said in a statement.

The Supreme Court on Monday issued an order to cancel international flights to and from countries with rising coronavirus cases.


The government is preparing to suspend flights to destinations like China, Japan, South Korea, Iran and Italy from March 10.
