KC harbors an interest in music and gaming but says that he could always imagine himself in the engineering profession.

Before joining HIM Electronics about two months ago, KC was involved in the IT sector for one and a half years.

What project(s) are you currently involved in?

At the moment, I’m working on a new project for the company. It’s in its starting phase and I’m currently involved in the planning processes. The project, in a nutshell, is about introducing on-grid solar systems in Nepal. This is also a project that I’m very interested in and I see my involvement in this for a long time.

What part about your work gives you the most satisfaction?

As an engineer in this sector, during the product introduction phase, we are required to test the products for feasibility and defects. We give suggestions and comments to the authorities looking to bring in the product to the market. If they like our suggestion, it’s implemented as well. This is satisfying.

How has your overall work experience been, up till today?

My previous job was not really related to my field of study and although I worked there for one and a half years, I don’t count it as ‘experience’. I like what I’m doing now and I feel that one’s work should always match one’s interest.

What sort of work environment do you think brings out the best in you?

I need flexibility in work. Although I like following deadlines, I need that flexibility when it comes to working style, because people perform differently. Some like working at night, others during the day. I think as long as one meets the deadline, how one gets the work done should be kept liberal.
