ANFA Vice President Dawa Lama arrested

KATHMANDU, April 17: The vice president of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Dawa Lama, has been arrested.

KATHMANDU, April 17: The vice president of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Dawa Lama, has been arrested.


AIG Deepak Thapa of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office said that Lama was arrested by a team of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office of Nepal Police.

Lama was absconding in a case of selling the contraband drug brown sugar. He was convicted by the Patan High Court in 2064 BS for committing the crime of drug dealing. The court sentenced him to five years in jail and imposed a fine of Rs 5000.


Although the sentence of imprisonment and fine was pronounced, it was found that Lama absconded without paying the imprisonment and fine.
