Police release ANFA Vice President Lama after SC order

KATHMANDU, April 18: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Vice President Dawa Lama who was arrested in Kathmandu on Wednesday has been released.

KATHMANDU, April 18: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Vice President Dawa Lama who was arrested in Kathmandu on Wednesday has been released.


Lama was released after he produced an order from the Supreme Court to release him on his own recognizance.

Earlier, the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office took Lama to the Patan High Court, which released him on his own recognizance after he produced the SC’s order for the same. 


Lama had been detained in connection with a drug-related case and had previously been sentenced to five years in prison by the then Patan Appellate Court in 2064 BS for involvement in a drug offense.
