More than 200 players from five development regions have made it to the final phase of selection after successfully undergoing preliminary selection at district and regional levels.

According to the ANFA, the selected players will compete against the current players of the academy for selection into one of the two age groups.

"We can't say how many players will be selected. But the selected players will compete against the existing players of the academy. The newly selected players can also replace the ones at the academy," said Upendra Man Singh, the technical director of ANFA, who also heads the coaching staff.
