'Andaz Apna Apna' sequel in the works

Aamir Khan celebrated his 57th birthday yesterday and on the occasion filmmaker Rajkumar Satoshi caught up with the superstar. The director has now shared some tidbits about his meeting.

Aamir Khan celebrated his 57th birthday yesterday and on the occasion filmmaker Rajkumar Satoshi caught up with the superstar. The director has now shared some tidbits about his meeting.

Spilling some beans on his meeting, Santoshi told a news portal that they keep meeting with each other occasionally. He recalled that they had recently met in Delhi sometime back. The director revealed that he had gone to wish the actor on his birthday. It was a family get-together so they did not talk about career and films. They just reminisced about their days on the set of ‘Andaz Apna Apna’.

When asked if there is ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’ in the cards, Santoshi added that he is currently writing the script. However, he will go ahead with it only if he is satisfied with the final story. The filmmaker also stated that once the script is ready, he will think about the cast. Meanwhile, he has other projects in the pipeline.

'Andaz Apna Apna' also starred Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon in lead roles. It is one of the most loved films we have in Bollywood and has achieved a cult status over the years.

On the work front, Aamir is awaiting the release of his upcoming film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The film will also star Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. The film is an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film, ‘Forrest Gump’ that originally starred Tom Hanks.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is slated to hit the theatres on August 11, 2022.
