KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Amresh Kumar Singh, the husband of Neetu Singh who was deported from Pune, India, a month ago, has claimed that he had no hands in her deportation.

Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, Amresh acknowledged that his marriage with Neetu, a third-year student at the Film Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, was on the rocks but he had nothing to do with her deportation.

He claimed that her father had written to Police Commissioner in Pune in August and December 2009 to send her back home to Bhadrapur in Nepal. Amresh has also attached copies of the letters that, he claims, were written by her father to the commissioner.
