Mountain-dwelling bumblebees possess the ability to fly at a height taller than that of Mt. Everest, the peak 8848 m above sea level. A team of researchers who captured bumblebees at 10,660 feet (3,250 meters) above sea level in China found that two bumblebees were able to fly at more than 29,525 feet (9,000 meters).
