Today’s meeting was called to discuss on a proposal put forth by the agitating CPN-Maoist on Friday’s all-party meeting hed in Sheetal Niwas.
On Friday, the meeting had agreed to do some homework on Saturday and sit for another round of the all-party meeting today.[break]
On the meeting, the CPN-Maoist party had formally expressed its commitment for the participation in the proposed Constituent Assembly (CA) election with some conditions.
The CPN-Maoist, which leads the agitating 33-party alliance, however, had insisted on making Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khilraj Regmi resign from the post of chief justice, and deferring the CA poll, scheduled for November 19, by four months.
