AISC meet put off once again

KATHMANDU, April 14: The meeting of the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC) scheduled for Wednesday was put off due to busy schedule of parties.



The committee during its previous meeting held on Friday had decided to summon all heads of the parties representing in the committee in the meeting after its several former meetings failed to reach to a conclusion on many issues including army integration procedure.



The meeting was scheduled to apprise the parties’ chiefs of its works executed so far and present the report prepared by the technical committee on the integration of Maoist combatants.



The new date for the meeting will be fixed soon, said committee’s member Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat.



The committee formed under the coordination of the Prime Minister for the supervision, rehabilitation and integration of Maoist fighters includes the representatives from Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Madheshi Janadhikar Forum Nepal, Madheshi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantriik) and Terai Madhesh Loktantrik party as its members.
