KATHMANDU, July 16: The Insurance Board, the insurance regulatory authority of the country, has issued the 'Agriculture, Livestock and Medicinal Herb Insurance Directives, 2077 BS to be effective from July 17.
With this, the earlier Insurance Directive, 2077 BS has been scrapped, said the Board’s Executive Director and Spokesperson Raju Raman Paudel.
Banke becoming centre for medicinal herb farming
According to the Directives, the insurance company should expand its service in the designated districts and the insurer should open its branch near the Agriculture Knowledge Center or Agriculture and Livestock Office in the district.
The insurance scheme can cover agriculture, livestock and medicinal herbs collectively, according to the provision.
