KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Nepal imported vegetables worth Rs 11.87 billion in the first four months of the current fiscal year.

While the government claims to make Nepal self-reliant on a number of agricultural products, the country faced a trade deficit of Rs 11.44 billion alone in vegetables, show the records with the Department of Customs. The country exported vegetables worth Rs 428.9 million during the review period.
