"We have established our values through the constitution, now we don't have to head to the jungle with a gun to press for our demand nor do we have to impose blockade by sitting at the border," DPM Thapa said while speaking at a press conference held by Reporters' Club Nepal, Dang Chapter in Ghorahi.
Stating that none of the provisions in the constitution remained unchangeable, DPM Thapa claimed that his party – Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal – would also press for establishing its belief through the medium of the constitution.
He was of the opinion that the royal institution and Hinduism as Nepal's state religion would be revived in the constitution if people believed in it.
On a different note, DPM Thapa ruled out the need to seek an alternative to the current government which is only six months old.
He spoke of many workloads remaining in the constitution's implementation phase and termed the rumours of changing the government as a 'game' to weaken the government and the new constitution. RSS
