AFK to celebrate Women's Day

KATHMANDU, March 8: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, for the first time, the Human Rights price of the of the Embassy of France in Nepal has been presented by Zimeray to Shyam Kumari Sah, 30-year-old committed activist for the cause of women’s rights.



To celebrate Women’s Day, Alliance Française Kathmandu (AFK) is dedicating two days to the women in the garden in its premises in Tripureshwore, Kathmandu. [break]

Thursday, 8th March:



12:00 PM – Performance of theater of the oppressed - Basantapur

4:00 PM – Performance of theater of the oppressed

4:45 PM – Projection of BVS documentary

5:00 PM – Discussion with Sapana Pradan Malla, Sunil Babu Pant, Dr. Arju Deuba and Pramada Shah about the woman human rights defense.

6:00 PM – Rasta and Nattu performance



Friday, 9th March:



5:00 PM – NAG (Hip Hop) and Yanik Shrestha & the Word Warriors (Slam) performance

6:00 PM – Discussion with Ms. Shyam Kumari Sah and Ms. Manika Jha
