Hip-hop and reggae at AFK

French language school and cultural center, Alliance Française de Katmandou (AFK) are organizing Hip-hop/Reggae concert at its office premises, Pulchowk on September 13.

French language school and cultural center, Alliance Française de Katmandou (AFK) are organizing Hip-hop/Reggae concert at its office premises, Pulchowk on September 13.


The Kathmandu-based reggae duo, Cultivation and the Canadian hip-hop star, Webster are performing at the gig. Webster will also be conducting the writing workshop before the live performance that starts around six in the evening.

The concert’s entrance is free of cost. However, AFK will charge its students Rs 300 for the workshop while outsiders have to pay Rs 500 for the same.


Aly Ndiaye aka Webster travels the world to present writing workshops. He has conducted workshops on several American universities like Harvard, MIT, Howard, Georgetown and UCLA. Likewise, Cultivation started from Kathmandu in 2013. Since the inception, the duo has made two albums: ‘Iriegation’ and ‘Aagaman’.
