AFC unveils President's Cup draw

KATHMANDU, March 6: Asian Football Confederation (AFC) unveiled the AFC President´s Cup-2010 while Martyrs Memorial ´A´ Division League is still undergoing in Nepal.



Nepali league champions will be decided about two months later after the completion of the ongoing league. The Nepali league champions, yet to be decided, are slated in group ´A´ of the tournament. [break]



The group ´A´ matches will be played in Bangladesh from May 12 to 16. Earlier, the group stage matches were scheduled for March 6-16.



Awami Limited of the hosts Bangladesh, Yoedy from Chinese Taipei and two-time winners Dordoi Bishkek from Kyrgyzstan are also drawn in group ´A´ of the tournament.



League champions from 11 countries, who are in the ´C´ level of the AFC ranking, will participate in the group stage of the President´s Cup. Winners from three groups and the best runners-up will play the semifinals of the tournament.



AFC asked for the nomination of league winning clubs within February 12 but All Nepal Football Association assured ACC to complete the domestic league in April and asked for berth in the tournament.
