Adhikari's remand extended by 10 days

CHITWAN, Sept. 8: The District Court, Chitwan on Sunday extended the police remand of UCPN (Maoist) cadre Ram Prasad Adhikari, by 10 days. Ram Prasad was arrested on charges of murder of 18-year-old Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Phujel, Gorkha.



District Court Judge Binod Mohan Acharya extended Adhikari´s remand by 10 days, saying more investigation needed to be carried out with regard to the case.



Ram Prasad Adhikari, who was kept at the District Police Office, was produced before the court for the extension of his judicial remand, said Pradhumna Karki, Chief of the District Police Office, Chitwan.



Ram Prasad was arrested in Bagbajar, Kathmandu on Friday and was brought to Chitwan the same day as the case was originally filed in Chitwan.
