Acting is Life

Acting is Life

Twenty-year-old Roshan Adhikari is a student of management at CCRC College, Balkumari. He is waiting for his Grade XII results. Originally from Panchkhaal in Kavrepalanchowk district, Roshan currently lives alone in Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur. “Though I stay in Nepal I am a citizen of Portugal. My mother works and lives in Portugal and I visit her time to time during my holidays. I live here because Nepal is more precious for me,” he said. Roshan’s father had remarried a long time ago, leaving behind his mother and him to fend for themselves. That is when his mother decided to go abroad to work. With an aim of becoming an actor, Roshan plans to study filmmaking in Europe. “I love acting because I feel my life is completely different when I act. I have lived on my own from a tender age and I stayed in school hostel since the age of seven. I have lived a lonely life and the actors I see movies make me feel like I’m not alone,” he added. “I am a couple of years late in my studies due to frequent trips to Portugal. After my results are out, I’ll finally chase my dream of becoming a superstar.”
