A tenth grader at Jaya Bageshwori Higher Secondary School, Liladhar was a bright, honest and laborious student. "Liladhar was someone who all his friends could look up to,” said school principal Biddhya Man Rajbhandari. Dinkar, who frequently gets transferred, had had his family settled in Nepalgunj for his son´s study.
"He always thought of helping his parents in future by studying hard," Rijnath Yogi, one of Liladhar´s classmates, said. "He could not give a shape to his dream."
Liladhar´s family members said his abductors did not ask them for ransom. Mahesh Bikram Shah, Superintendent of Police, said Liladhar was abducted by a close acquaintance.
Kapil still in dark
The whereabouts of Kapil Dwivedi, who was abducted along with Liladhar, is still unknown even after his father Sanjay paid Rs 1million to his son´s abductors. Sanjay, accompanied by a human rights activist, approached the abductors Monday night and handed over ransom money.
The abductors have not freed Kapil as of Tuesday.
Meanwhile, locals of Nepalgunj, most of them students, on Tuesday staged a rally against the abduction and murder of students.
