KATHMANDU, Dec 9: A girl has been killed after being abducted in Rasuwa. Sumina Tamang, a 6-year-old girl of Phailigang in Kalika Rural Municipality- 1 of the district, was killed after being abducted. She was attending Grang Primary School and had gone missing since Sunday after she left for school.
The family had started searching for her after she did not return home till evening. The family had requested the police to search for the girl after she was not in touch with her family and relatives. The girl's family had lodged a complaint at the temporary police post in Grang after rumors spread that an unidentified woman had taken her away. Police were mobilized immediately after the complaint was lodged. Her body was found Tuesday afternoon.
Abduction 'experience' of Thabang Rural Municipality chief
Police have arrested 19-year-old Sapana Tamang of Kispang Rural Municipality-5 of Nuwakot on suspicion of killing the girl. According to police, Tamang may have abducted and killed the girl.
According to the police, the body of the girl was found on a rock at Nagurdung Bhir in Kalika Rural Municipality-1. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Indra Subedi said that the body was covered with branches of trees.
The bag and slippers belonging to the girl were found in a bush near the body. A packet of noodles was also found near the dead body.
